well, judging by Bay's current results, the Accelar isn't doing so hot, either as a L2 or L3 switch.

Not only are customers taking a wait and see attitude on Gigabit and L3 switching, they're also trying to decide between ATM and Gigabit. Not great news for a company relying so heavily short term on the Accelar product line.
