I think investors trade on what they think will be what will be the "tape" a few years from now, while traders work with what the " tape" shows 6 months from now. Who is right? I certainly don't know! If I did, I would be living next to Michael Dell or Warren Buffet. But Wall Street works on the traders side. At the end, investors usually come out ahead according to what I have read. But there is a lot of fluctuation between. Certainly investors in high tech have a lot to loss or gain while traders go all over the map. I guess you puts your monies down and takes your chances.
