Perhaps we should give some thought to excluding penny stocks from the contest in the future. Although I am benefiting so far from mine (SNLMF), I really am not interested in trading penny stocks and I think others on the thread feel this way too.

Penny stocks trade like options with unlimited expiration period. Maybe set a min price of $5/share since you can't usually margin or short stocks under five dollars and many mutual funds have restrictions against holding stocks under $5..

Just a random, drive by thought!

BTW, Kudos on the contest web page design! What did app did you use to write it? Also like that Ben Hur headline font? What is it callled?

Ciao,
Daniel

PS

My penny stock triumph in the contest is up only 94 % but up an absurd 3500% since December '97 . Great contest stock but not necessarily "investment grade" material for most folks.

SNLMF (Suncom) was a Vancouver Exchange stock Canadian long distance co that went bankrupt last year after a stock manipulation scandal, and just got relisted.

Such pain from what was a quick momentum trade! Perhaps you remember it Cam-Net Comm (CWKTF) - management was paying brokers an override in stock on shares they placed with their clients.

Suncom reorganized and now does call center management for cable and wireless companies in the states. It's up 3500% since December. ($.01.sh then)
