<<Press is barred from AAPL shareholders meeting!!!

Why??? What is Jobs up to ???>>

Well, I could think of at least 10 or so reasons for doing it this way, one of which (albeit one of the more trite ones) could be to actually encourage shareholders to show up for the meeting rather than being just passive news-readers that most shareholding bodies tend to be. Active and interested shareholders can help to ensure that a company remains vibrant and generally responsive. Another possible benefit to this scenario would be that because of the barring of the press and analysts, interest in the meeting on the part of the press and analysts might actually be hightened. But I can think of many more possible reasons, for sure!
