Just a thought
A company will release earnings on the 24th but that is changed to the 16th after hours, the day before options expire, the company has unreasonably low projections, as with all its previous quarters, shorts start to cover, the april 30 call volume soars, and the stock closes on the 17th up 18%. BIG MONEY has been mentioned here before, I like to call it SMART MONEY, all of this has been posted here before and is public information, however the shorts would rather listen to TOM, and post on this board thinking they can move the market, trust me if you could move the market you would not be posting here and the clearing houses and there clients don't give a f__k who tom is. There game is MONEY not Quake, but within hours of a great day for the longs "there back", with hyped reviews, there is two facts, neither VII or their boards are on the shelfs at my local Computer City (why?) and there was a lot of money made today.

Steve at 3DFX Interactive sent us an email to put to rest all of the rumors that seem to be running around about their Voodoo2.
The rumor of ceasing or slowing production is completely untrue. The opposite is true; we have been ramping up production capabilities. Within the next two months we should be able to have the capability to produce as much volume as we forecast need (ramp up is period of moving production capabilities from zero to 100 percent). We must be fully ramped to take advantage of actual capacity.
The allegation of heat problems is also patently untrue. Voodoo2 works as designed. It has been highly tested and qualified. Voodoo2 actually runs cooler than Voodoo Graphics.
As to the overall shortage of Voodoo2, that is quite true. We are not aware of any distributor or retailer that is able to keep any inventory of Voodoo2 products on hand. Product sells as soon as it is available. Again, because of our ramping up period, we have been constrained in our Voodoo2 shipments.
