Eric:

I bought TDFX today for the first time based on their stunning earnings report.

I doubt that the market for Voodoo is anywhere near saturation, but some products can be a fad -- that is, everyone has to have one right now -- examples: Cabbage patch dolls, early Atari machines, Tickle Me Elmo.

Another obvious threat is Intel. Do they build capabilities into their chips that satisfy the needs of 80 percent of the population? What does that do to TDFX's volume and pricing?

Something Intel (and Compaq and the rest of the PC industry) is learning is that many people will no longer pay top dollar for the highest-end machine when they can get 80 to 90 percent of the power for a much lower price.

So, saturation is always a threat. But competition, even at the lower end, is the one to watch for.

By the way, I agree with your statement that a ten-bagger is possible here. I also agree that the stock can easily go to $50 or $60 this year (if not this or next month).
