Exactly my point. AT&T has been shooting itself in the foot for the past year. It's time to reinvent the corporate culture. AOL has a great product but the competition is enormous from a pricing perspective. In terms of content, from a kids point of view, AOL is in a league of it's own. But the service might be just a starting point from where we ultimately may go. AT&T has deep pockets and a recent understanding that it's finally time to stand up and fight. Normal stage in a growth industry. First it's boom, then fierce competition, then consolidation. While the industry still has a huge growth stage ahead. Competition and falling margins are hear to stay. The next step is huge service providers start buying up the competition and offering the service as VARs. I think that time has come. Just my guess. Have a nice weekend....
