Shaquapa,
I'm trying my best to send this post with as little malice and venom as possible, but I feel obligated to let GMTC supporters know how worried you and tgs59 seem to be about AGTI. You folks came to our board, we didn't come to yours.
Frank Williams, I see that you asked a question about AGTI, so please bear with me while I explain. AGTI (Advanced Gaming Technology, Inc.) is one of the pioneers in the electronic bingo industry and was, I think, the first to test the waters of public ownership. The company has, to put it mildly, struggled from day one and is presently undergoing a major restructure with new management who seem to be top caliber. Among other recent and positive events for AGTI, they were recently licensed to market in the huge Texas bingo market. Out of respect for GMTC longs, I won't turn this post into an AGTI promotion. That is not the intent of this post. I am involved with AGTI in NO WAY WHATSOEVER, except as an interested and concerned shareholder who has posted on SI as the need may arise and as my time permits. The preceding is for background purposes only.
Shaquapa, I have never posted on the GMTC board before, but now felt compelled to do so because you and tgs59 have become so active on the AGTI thread and are now referencing the AGTI thread here. (For anyone who doubts the credibility of this assertion, simply take a look at the record of recent posts by both people and I think you'll be astounded at the ratio of posts THERE versus HERE. If I am long a stock, I may be inclined to post my own thoughts about that company on the appropriate thread. But how many posters -- if they hold no position -- would become so active in trashing a company, unless they had a real mission in posting? Yet this is exactly what tgs59 and Shaquapa have done.
For the record, tgs59 is GMTC's distributor in the state of Texas. Shaq, I'm not sure about your real involvement aside from the fact that you and tgs59 seem to know each other. Admittedly, AGTI is a huge underdog...right now, a mangy, snarly mutt...but they seem to be making the right moves to stage a comeback. Is it Texas that concerns you? And why is it that you guys have eloquently pointed out every deficiency about AGTI on the AGTI thread, yet I don't see you highlighting all the GMTC weaknesses on this thread?
Since you both seem so determined to educate AGTI longs about that company's failures and pitfalls, why aren't you actively and incessantly informing GMTC longs about the alleged shareholder lawsuit? Or about the status of (pardon me if I choose the wrong name) Progressive Bingo? And what about failed or stalled ventures in the Pacific Rim? International trade is very time consuming and expensive. How much $$$ has been spent, likely wasted, in this project to date?
I can only draw the conclusion that you and tgs59 are worried that AGTI might actually succeed, particularly in TX. Every future success for AGTI would represent a future loss for someone else.
I humbly and sincerely apologize to every GMTC follower of this thread who, like me with AGTI, is just an average shareholder. But I'm getting tired of the tactics being used by some GMTC zealots (insiders, if you will) who seem to have more than a normal level of interest in AGTI. Good luck to GMTC longs and may the best company win. Competition is healthy and part of the American way, but I have a strong distaste for guerilla warfare. Scald me if you wish, but a simple review of the record may help you to understand.
Best Regards, Hardrocker |
