Some sector experience-
I've been messing with the telecom stocks lately, and have this to report. Of the local providers, I traded BLS, AIT, SBC, BEL and GTE on thursday and friday. I am not sure if the trading in these had to do with options expiration, so take it for what it's worth. The only pattern of note was that (at least Thurs and Fri) BLS seemed to lead, followed by AIT then SBC. BEL had a personality of it's own, and GTE had some negative news, so it may follow, I just don't know. BEL hurt me on Thurs as the bids evaporated, so I didn't touch it friday (up 3+!) and AIT, BLS and SBC traded pretty orderly. If anyone knows these, post about your experiences. Another sector I traded was the railroads (sexy sector huh) which worked out quite well. I noticed BNI perking up on Thurs, so Fri traded CSX and NSC. Others in the group I know of are WCLX, UNP (supposedly has problems) and KSU. Anyone familiar with these, and if there is a fundamental reason for the movement?
