HI IKE
It;s beautiful here on the East Coast today<g>...
The SOX Ike is funny right now...it's trading in a range at the moment...Intraday above 310 & intraday below 300...Based on the direction of the market i think it might go up thru 310...but it must close above that number to give a solid buy signal...
You're call on TXN was right, but it has major resistance at 62ish...The CEO was very bullish about the co...and it's products...
On the other hand, i listened to the KLIC CC, and the CEO was extremly bearish about World Wide Cap equip spending at this moment and said so on the call....KOREA is a non-event...but other areas are still in deep recession in this industry and "THIS SECTOR OF THE SEMIS" as we speak...
What was very interesting was his forward looking statement for KLIC as a loss for Q Apr-Jun, and guided the street down in HIS 4th Q Sept, from 60c to 20c..total number for 98 down from $2:50 to 86c...99 eps a guess at $1.50....
We could believe that INTC was the West Coast customer that canceled and he said they have cut Cap Spending in 4 others Co's...I would think AMAT is one of them....JMO...
IKE within the confines of this Whole Semi Sector, some co's are doing very well in niche markets and products, while others are just dead wood for 6 months or more...
Our trade imbalance is getting a lot wider because of lack of consumer spending in ASIA of our products...Japan IMO is the real KEY now as to further gains in the markets as you so aptly suggested...The markets cannot go forward without solid stock markets in Asia and esp Japan & Hong Kong...
I enjoyed your World Wide reports of all the markets, it was interesting & informative, and really very enlightening as well, nice job...:>}
In any case the markets look like they want to go much higher...Fear is prevelant everywhere, put/call ratios out of whack 2-1 puts to calls, very bullish...so we go higher with trepidation but smiling " ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK".....
WHAT A MARKET, it's never been so much fun.......
Have a nice weekend my friend.... |
