I have to say if the VC's are getting out...then it should give XCIT shareholders reason to think about the current level of pricing as it coincides with earnings and forward statements

lisa,

You didn't ask me, but I do have something to add.

Do you think it's fair to use venture capitalist selling as a bear indicator? VCs are not long-term investors in the sense of holding equity until they "retire." Sure, they'll stick with a startup company until it's on its feet, but their modus operandi is to find the best balance between quick return and high return.

Anyone holding any of these search engines since last week has seen more than a year's worth of gain achieved since then.

Maybe the VCs think it's a local top and are ready to give their VC fund shareholders some cash. Or maybe they think it's a 50-50 chance that it'll go down soon and those aren't odds they want to play. Or maybe they have some growth target and reached it.

Obviously, they wouldn't sell if they thought it were doubling next week, so yes, their rumored selling is not a bullish indicator, but I don't think it means they believe the sector is collapsing, either.
