You should go into politics: you can put a positive spin on everything! I am very impressed. :)

On a more serious note, as you know, when budgets get cut, most managers having to trim staff and supplies, will stick to what they know and stay away from new products and equipment.

Now, that is not the end of the world: just a slight delay of a year or two before budgets come back to normal.
