Jane, I don't need to look it up, because I know that "Abraham was a citizen of Ur of the Chaldeas. Look it up. Right by Babylon, and one of the great seats of some of the worst baby burning pagan trips going. It's in Halley's Handbook of the Bible--pure archeological facts, period.
That is why I said that I'm not sure what Abraham has to do with the race of semitic Jews, other than Abraham is the Patriarch of the Israelites. I believe that Ur is in Mesopotamia, that most ancient of civilizations. So in the sense that modern Iraq contains both ancient Babylon (Baghdad now) and ancient Mesopotamia, yes Abraham could probably be called an ancient Iraqi of sorts.
So yes, It is apparent the Jews are actually the seed of an Iraqui who took new wives from the Baal worshipping neighbor tribes. There are in fact no "genetic Jews", per se, they are all dna of Iraqui and ancient Syrians, probably.
All true. The Old Testament is really quite interesting, but contains so much history that I really can only keep an overview of the major sections in my head. Like how after long after Abraham arrived in Caanan, the Israelites were carried away into captivity into the Land of Egypt. Then Moses was born in Egypt, and he grew up to manhood, and was led by God to lead the Israelites out of the bondage of the Egyptians.
He sure wasn't a Jew living in Ur. THere WERE no Jews. They did not exist.
Absolutely, no question about it. |
