Dwight, saying someone is twisted, and saying that they are "somehow twisting everything to allow discrimination against homosexuals" are two very different statements. The first one is an insult, at least in my opinion, and the second one relates to describing methods of arguing, but is not calling someone a name.
This reminds me of how you objected to my saying you believed homosexual behavior was sick, when you said it was abhorrent, although in my post I clearly said I was paraphrasing, because I did not have time to look up the original post. You finally capitulated on that one.
It also reminds me of your denying you said you would not hire a homosexual, and then my citing posts where you said you would certainly fire one. The meanings are very close there.
And even when you seem to be writing a straightforward statement, like this one, you manage to slur homosexuals by insinuating they commit a lot of offenses, by implication. This reminds me of all your other posts where you lump them with child molesters and murderers.
"And nobody here has ever said they wish homosexuals or any other person to be denied the right to work or live life in freedom, except where they must serve time in prison for offenses against society."
So yes, I do think you twist things a lot. For someone who is supposed to be living a Christian life, you certainly use semantics a lot, instead of moral truths, and a lot of slurs, as well, and walk a tightrope of technical interepretations of the job discrimination laws, so that as long as you don't have five employees you are allowed to discriminate against homosexuals in hiring. |
