Hmmm, breakeven, oh well, at least as you say
it has already been announced. Now they can
surprise a few cents on the upside.

Was happy to see BZ up front at CompUSA, before
I bot the stock I hadn't really noticed it,
plus the previous time I was there I was getting
Starcraft and Journeyman 3, so I wouldn't have
remembered had I noticed. Suffice to say, it's
right next to the RedOrb/Broderbund display,
which holds LofT, Riven, and Myst--that's a much
better looking display, Activision sure could
have dressed up their rack with some of those
hanging plastic review thingies.

Anyway, to make a long story short, the three
companies getting the best coverage at my local
CompUSA were titles being distributed by Broderbund,
Davidson (blizzards Starcraft) and also BattleZone.
I seem to remember ComputerCity being about the same,
had to go over there to get HoTMetaL Pro, since
everybody seems to be out of it (own SWEBF...by
the way, SoftQuad owns Alpha who did the 747 add
on for MS Flight Sim, and it is getting better
display in two seperate spots, next to the sim,
from floor to top, and also end of the aisle, not
to hype too much, but I got in to SWEBF at recent
lows...)

Anyway, good presence in the stores is certainly not
the only reason to buy a stock, and I admit
it was a bit of an impulse purchase, but I saw
the chart, including that plunge from 14 to 10,
a nice test of support there, and I couldn't
resist.

Plus, if I can keep from trading it (looks like
it moves between 10 and 15 a lot, will be very
very tempting)...anyway, if I can just HOLD it,
Activision seems like the strongest franchise in
the business--were not counting Microsoft, would
not be fair...

Anybody on the thread know anyting about Davidson,
is it a private company, I seem to remember looking
at it once, but cant remember why I didn't buy,
either it was rich relative to the other gaming
companies, was too diversified into other things
like computer learning, or it was a private
company--and I cant remember which if any. Just
curious, Warcraft was terrific, but I'm not
looking to buy another gaming company even if
StarCraft gets me hooked.
