I am addressing the information that is public and that is the issue of the 1.2 million shares for sale

And selling shares from a Venture Capitalist is different than a fund because of the set up

It is feasible that a venture capitalist could have a lock out...by agreement or possibly by SEC rules (the part about the SEC is not something I am familiar with)...but a fund doesnt have the same restrictions unless they own a certain % of the shares. Dont know the specifics of that one either

AND a fund will pull all kinds of stunts to manipulate the price of a stock - you either understand that or you dont...and I am not even going there on that discussion on whether they do that or not

AND a fund will try to support a price....but a VC is less likely to do that. A funds million shares doent have the same legal documents attached to it

but a million shares is a million shares

and will create DOWNWARD PRESSURE

and I dont think they would have all been sold Friday

maximum 3 million shares actually changed hands investor to investor through the tape..and it was probably alot less than that...

If XCIT doesnt have anything to do with Seek...why did Seek tank
17% Friday.

The reality is that what happens to one stock effects the other...

We have an earnings week coming up...BUT to add to this...you have this abnormal run up last week due to the analyst at MER ..which could deflate.....and you have XCIT earnings..

Now what would have happened if XCIT earnings hadnt happened. Would we still have seen a deflation from MER recs...

We will never know...
but right now everything is going hand in hand and is intertwined and it makes it tough to trade these vipers.

and as far as shorting against the box....IRS established new rules concerning that technique and I havent done it and I have not read the regs enough to distinguish the loophole or exemption allowing for shorting against the box.
