You have been assimilated by that monopolist in waiting MSFT. Frezza's thread is still alive? Gee..... The real threat at DOJ ain't Reno, it's the career group in the antitrust division, which stays when Reno leaves. It was there before she showed up. Now you got 19 states jumping on the bandwagon. Put the real threat to MSFT is Apple, namely Rasphody. Rumour is it will be tweaked for Merced chips and just about any other processor. A real universal OS, that probably works in 64 bit processing!! MSFT will probably stumble and bumble along the way. As to QCOM's IPR, I don't see Ericsson droppings it's royalty rates. More hogwash blatherings, from the "world leaders". As to QCOM being a monopoly, bullocks. How can you be a monopoly when you have competition across the board within your own technology?? How do you have a monopoly with rival and competing standards?? They licensed their technology and then compete in a free and open market with other manufactures. Hardly a monopoly. But, as Barkdale pointed out before the US Senate; "How many people own a computer?" " HOw many run Win95?" "That sir is a monopoly!!! Yet Gates like to call ROBC's and the rest of telecommunicaitons as a "monopoly". Right..... Gee, mom has fiber to the curb and that is from the cable company. Now, there is another monoply, er franchise.. er a bunch of clowns....
