I am in awe of the potential of an environmentally friendly gasoline blendstock having an octane of 227 that can be manufactured at $0.88 per gallon. But, I have read what I think are Arcon's patents and find myself still asking "where's the beef?". Those of you who are stockholders and believe in this should go look up the current value of an octane index barrel and start questioning management as to why they don't plan to charge a lot more than $1.28 per gallon. I think you will find its market value is considerably higher. The following is purely fiction and is offered up, tongue in cheek of course, for your investing pleasure to highlight just how great the future could be.

Midland Inc. Announces Texas Breakthrough and Trade Secret. April 31, 1998. Dallas - MIDL's wholly owned subsidiary Arcon announced today the formation of a new beverage division known as Arcon Distillates for the purpose of marketing a new liquor based on DF-227. The newly appointed Vice President of Sales, Eyeschmell Awrat, commented that extensive testing by independent laboratories had confirmed that DF-227 is not only non-toxic, but it tastes great too! At 90 proof and having a flavor similar to rum, an independent consultant for the company has determined this could easily double future revenues by New Years Eve, 1999. Capitalizing on Coca Cola's renowned ability to maintain product formulation trade secrets, a strategic alliance is being sought to market a rum and coke replacement at more than 500 Texas supermarkets. This meshes well with the company's business plan to market DF-144 as a gasoline octane enhancer at these same locations. Further announcements are expected soon.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I really do hope all of you do well on this one. My guess is Thursday's press release will cause a lot of potential investors to take a look at this one - could make for a nice run up.
