To All, re IBUY. news.com

As has been posted many times on this thread, a short seller must be very careful what he/she says about a stock. There is no limit to the lies and hype that can be posted in support of the long position, but a short seller can be sued for posting negative, even if the posts are factual or stated as opinion. Usually the short seller prevails in the law suit unless posting absolute falsehoods, but the cost of defense can be very large in terms of money, time, and reputation.

Unfortunately it is the stocks for which the short case is strongest that will bring legal action. Be very careful anytime posting negative comments. And don't conceal the fact that you are short.
