Joe: Please excuse my intrusion but I wanted to ask you, and/or others, what Novell management has done that warrants legal action against them? Misrepresentation? Gross mismanagement?

The current management surely deserves some time to effect a change in the business operations. It takes time to turn a ship around, or even a company as large as Novell.

Since I now hold 11,000 shares, I am as eager as the next to see improvement in the stock price. But, how much can management influence the stock price, if any at all, without risking exposure to a legal action related to the security laws?

If the price of Novell stock is going down, I find it difficult to believe that Novell management considers it a good thing. Shareholders are willing to sell their stock at a reduced price for some reason that escapes me for the moment. Do they sell based on their broker's advice?

It seems that Novell is trying to create business and technological alliances that will benefit the stock, if not tomorrow, then in a reasonable time in the future. What positive things can we say about what the company is doing to provide a favorable outlook for the smaller investor (not institutional) so that they will hold onto their stock and not sell at these reduced prices?

Best regards,

Elmo
