It's my understanding, the field people for BEAM are working long hours upgrading the APEX-PLUS to meet the demand for Astigmatism.

I for one, really don't know how good or bad, the BEAM machine is. I've spoken with a few doctors via E-mail and they are very happy with the machine.

As far as upgrading to meet future entrants, some point along the line, it becomes economically more practical to just introduce a new machine (solid state vs. cumbersome gas) than to continue dumping money into upgrading. I know for fact, this is how Summit views the situation. Thus, their reasoning for seeking an acquisition candidate that has the latest in laser vision correction technology.

Manny: Are you stating as fact the warrants deal or is that just a possibility you've conjured up. Either way, it sounds good to me.
