Developers are not flocking away from OLE to OpenDoc. That's not even open for debate. I think Java and COBRA will replace C/C++ and OLE in mainstream application development but that will happen incrementally. Although OLE sucks beyond description, unlimited resources and almost 10 years of development time have delivered a workable solution until a well thought out solution like COBRA can mature. In the meantime I think we'll be seeing a great deal of ActiveX in the near future.
