Sun would be wise to dump the 'NC' acronym. It clearly has been a failure and has been closely associated with defeating the WindowsPC. The real promise of the 'NC' won't be realized until cheap flat panel display technology is available. Then we can install fixed function computers all over the place. This will lead a shift towards a service based software economy instead of forced upgrades.
