Substance VS Image

Substance usually is the winner (over image). But if enough people get the wrong impression of the image, they can destroy something that would have been a golden goose for them.

True story: At a garage sale, some out dated computer parts were being sold. One kid (age 9) stops by and says the parts are JUNK! Another one (age 8) stops by and salivates over them because he wants to put a computer together and LEARN. The second kid sees the potential because he has an uncle that is in the business and earns $75 per hour. That second kid can get thousands of dollars of education from a book and those $1 computer parts and be light years ahead of the first kid. He may not be the next Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, but will get closer to that than than kid number one who is only looking at TODAY.

Another true story: A house is for sale. It is really beaten up and is going to take a LOT of WORK. A realtor is showing it to his client and as they are walking out, she is almost chastising him for showing her something that is going to take so much work. The eventual buyer knows how much work it will take but turns a $16,000 investment into a property that now has a market value of about $70,000 (maybe more now).

I think Jack was changing CVIA into a company of substance (merger with WOTD). I personally cannot see how he can complete this transformation without some kind of reverse merger.

I also think Jack is the kind of person who will tell you the truth of what the company is TODAY. What it can be tomorrow is dependent on so many factors, not just hard work. But maybe that is what most of us want to hear from Jack....What the company is striving to be tomorrow.

I suggest that we do not ask for a share buy back because those funds would be needed for acquisitions, etc to grow CVIA.

I also suggest that we give Jack enough time to weigh all the factors he is faced with. Good grief, he works hard as a pharmacist and has this to put together.
