interesting recent post...

I don't see much going on this topic, so let's stoke the fire. My
opinion on aletrnatives is tthat there is a place in the market for
them. In Arizona the temps get so hot that retrofits don't work with
R134a in many cases(without a lot of expensive mods). There are people
who can't afford to do that. R12 is coming down, but the price is
prohibitive still to a lot of people. We sell one alternative, that
I believe in. There are only 2 others that I would even consider.
The young family that can't afford the other fixes can still afford
this. I know about the expense of another machine, but you need one
anyway. You are going to run into a lot of stuff that is not R12
or R134. This is a profit potential. Email me and I will tell you why.
The main point here is to let the people in hotclimates know that
you should not stick your head in the sand on these. Just know what
you are using. I would never suggest puttting an alternative in
factory 134a systems. Once again, don't be afraid of them. They are
not going to go away. Position yourself to take advantage of this
situation.
