GreyStone Technology Premieres Arcade Attraction, XS-G(TM), at Amusement Showcase International
SAN DIEGO, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- XS-G(TM), a new, PC based, real-time 3D interactive coin-operated arcade attraction, will premiere at the Amusement Showcase International trade show at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 26 through March 28, GreyStone Technology, Incorporated, announced today.
XS-G is an exhilarating, high-speed, multi-player canyon race between futuristic armed aircraft. It challenges the players' physical coordination and tactical decision making abilities, as well as encouraging both cooperation and competition between players. XS-G offers the player different course options for beginner, intermediate, or advanced play. The game is available in two types of coin-operated platforms from Dynamo Interactive: an upright platform with a 27'' monitor, and a seated platform with a 34'' monitor.
In addition to being displayed in adjacent GreyStone and Dynamo Interactive's booths (#1314 and #1414), XS-G will be seen in Intel Corporation's [Nasdaq:INTC - news] booth (#1038), as part of Intel's demonstration of PC based arcade games running on the Pentium(R) II processor and based on the Open Arcade Architecture specification. (Pentium is a registered trademark of Intel Corp.)
XS-G: PC-based interactive 3D entertainment. XS-G is the first product being developed by GreyStone to take advantage of the PC arcade technology. It exemplifies GreyStone's commitment to use Intel's PC-based open architecture for the development of high-energy, fast-paced, competitive ''adrenaline'' games for the out-of-home entertainment market. By developing content for a PC-based entertainment platform, GreyStone will be able to utilize the high level performance of the Pentium II processor.
''We are excited about XS-G because the project brings together GreyStone's 3D software expertise, Intel's Pentium II processor-based architecture, and the manufacturing and marketing resources of Dynamo Interactive,'' said Richard A. Smith, Chairman and CEO of GreyStone. ''It's a combination that leverages the vision of Intel's Open Arcade Architecture Forum and brings immersive, interactive, and networked arcade content in an affordable package.''
Mark Struhs, president of Dynamo Interactive, a division of Dynamo, Ltd. commented, ''Dynamo Interactive is looking forward to leveraging its 25 years of expertise and GreyStone's real-time 3D arcade content to provide the coin- operated entertainment market with a new, exciting, and very competitive product.'' Dynamo Interactive is based in Richland Hills, Texas.
''GreyStone continues to push the envelope of PC based, real-time 3-D interactive graphics processing,'' Said Albert Teng, Intel's director, coin-op market development. ''XS-G showcases the performance capabilities of the Intel Open Arcade Architecture platform and is great fun to play.''
