Thanks, Yaacov. There's a bookstore just off Insurgentes in M‚xico, they should be able to find one or both even if they're out of print. Can't remember the name, but my friend knows the place and will ask for me. There are many Jews in M‚xico (the city), by the way, many are mexicanos of three and four generations, perhaps more. Talking to you now, I'm wondering if they are largely Sephardic. Probably, eh?
Did you see us in above posts wondering about the exact meaning of the word 'Sephardic'? Does it mean strictly 'Jews of the Iberian Pen¡nsula' or did it have another, previous, meaning? Could it be a synonym of 'Semitic'?
It's a big mobile cosmopolitan planet, eh? ... People move around, they change their locations and their languages and their religions, and are changed by them in return.
