cm,
Don't have the Barron's article to read, but thank you for your comments. Well, I can add a few comments about Michael Murphy. Sorry, nothing SEEK related to talk about, but thought some of you might be interested, nonetheless...
<Up on the soapbox> Everytime I see his ads for the California Tech Newsletter or see him on CNBC, I want to scream and tell people, look at his track record. It is abysmal and you should research his past performance before plunking down your hard-earned money for his newsletter. I almost (but thankfully did not) sold my Cisco because of his advice given on CNBC last year. <Off of soapbox>
Here's a couple of interesting tidbits on Michael Murphy: - Last spring, predicted that Cisco would miss earnings for the quarter by a mile (according to his inside sources) and that Cisco would drop from 45 to the mid-30's (neither happened) - He is the fund manager of a high-tech mutual fund; shortly after hearing his interview, I saw his fund was one of the worst performing tech funds of the year (96-97), down 18% (when other tech funds were up 30+%) - His number one stock pick one year (can't remember if it was '96 or '97) was Macromedia which just plummeted that year from the 20's to single digits - I heard that he recommended shorting Microsoft in the early-mid 90's (that single move will get you very poor very quick)
Still, I say, GO SEEK GO!!!!
