You probably have this little monument or altar near your computer, with dolls of government officials with pins in them......... Were Vietnamese slaughtered by the village full by Lt William Calley who was barely punished; his comfy confinement to base being a poor comparison with the hanging meted out to genocide artists from Japan and Germany. 20 years in Leavenworth, cushy??? Albeit, I have to agree with you on this one. As MacArthur once said about the soldiering profession; "We are the protectors of women and children." Or something like that. Sometimes innocent's become causualties through inedptitude or some other mistake, but the breaking down into premeditated mass murder is unexceptable. War ain't no fun and it sure wear's on the pysche, but to reduce yourself to slaughtering non-combants should have been more punishable. No excuse for it. '71-'72...
