This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous (everyone wants Bill Gates riches), boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents (kids today!), unthankful, unholy, without natural affection (nobody even sez hello on the street anymore), trucebreakers (promise breakers), false accusers, incontinent (people lose their tempers at the drop of a hat), fierce, despisers of those that are good (the brain in the class or the diligent government worker always gets slammed), traitors, heady, high-minded (everyone thinks they know it all these days and has the world by the tail), lovers of pleasure (extreme degree of prescription and illegal drug dependence, alcoholism, pornographeo) more than lovers of God.
Do any of these sound familiar TB?, I know just about everyone applied to me before . . . and after I'm still struggling with many.
If this seems just like everyday life as it has always been - NOT.
Transport your mind back to the late 50's and 60's and you will remember it wasn't always this way. |
