Hi Christine, On second thought, the mead and a bed of pine needles does sound like more fun. But don't those pine needles sometimes get sticky with pine sap?

I have made mead once, as well as wild grape wine. They were both real good. Unfortunately the wild grapes here in Texas are very bitter, so there will be no wine.

I made a dessert tonight of chopped up fresh pineapple and strawberries mixed together with whipped topping. It's very simple, but we really like it. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. Has anyone else here tried it?
