Hi Holly, I don't mean to throw cold water on your theory, but when I was a heavy smoker I was attacked by mosquitos much more than the people around me. It continues to this day, even though I haven't smoked for 15 years. When my father-in law was alive we would sit outside and chat, and he would never be bitten. He had severe diabetes, but I can't be sure that is why they avoided him. They definitely prefer some people over others though.

I am a good one to invite to an outdoor party. It bunches those mosquitoes in one spot. On me! I once counted 15 from my wrist to my elbow on one arm, at the same time.
