Well I wonder if that is quite fair, both to Christine and to agnostics in general, of whom, by the way, I am one. 'Agnostic' just means 'one who knows he doesn't know', used only to differentiate oneself from 'those who think they know'.

It does not follow that because one doesn't preach a particular branch of one of the planet's thousands of religions that one lacks morality. Such preaching doesn't guarantee morality, either. In fact, when such preaching promotes hatred of fellow human beings #reply-4124436 , I find it distinctly immoral.

Two mild faults I find with Christine - One, she doesn't always answer your posts directly, but often seems to be referring to a previous comment. Which is a bit confusing, but no big problem. Two, she is a little more strident on queer rights than I would be. But then, maybe my children will see me as a dinosaur in that respect, who knows.

But "... feeling shame for sin, running from God, and subsequent denial that there is a God."? .... aw c'mon .... that's just silly

Nobody denies 'God' here. No thinking agnostic would consider it, as doing so would be as ridiculous as inventing yet another cult based on yet another deity.

No - what gets denied here are statements by men about 'God'. Big difference.
And you have to admit that a lot of these statements are pretty freakin ugly; 207.183.153.73
