Novellus made 60 cents for the first quarter versus an estimate of 58 cents by analysts. Great news. Their BTB was less than 1 but the specific ratio was not announced although being less than 1 is not surprising given what is happening in this segment. They are about the first semi-equip that I have seen beat the earnings estimate with no preannounced earnings disappointment. Hopefully this means over the longer term Novellus will have a much stronger earnings pattern when the semi-equip sector rebounds. Hopefully the market likes it. Good luck to all!
