Both of these: shorts and put/call ratio are decent contrary indicators with the current levels exerting moderate downward pressure. Fewer shorts are fewer potential buyers needing to purchase to cover. Likewise more buyers have already taken a buy position than a sell position with the options and thus are not available to purchase in the stock itself. BWDIK.
