JJB,

I am not certain you would find many newspaper publishers to agree about the impact of TV. New York City used to have about a dozen newspapers--now it has three. Newsday struggled to introduce a fourth daily, but, even with the resources of Times-Mirror, it gave up. Overall readership is down enormously over what it was a few decades ago.

For the moment, however, film still has too many advantages. It's unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
