Well I'm happy for you short-term stock watchers! Let me play devil's advocate and say if this is a true breakout you need a bit of volume. HOWEVER it seems that (provided IBM or one of the other biggies does not drop a total bombshell) there is an interest in our battered sitting-on-neutral techs. Though I still feel the market will tank soon I am not so sure what will happen to the techs since many of the sub-sectors are NOT "overvalued". For the long term, I agree wholeheartedly with Gilder who as someone posted awhile back considers LSI a paradigm stock. Many quarters ago when I first looked into the semi-sector, what I found most appealing about LSI was that it was set to explode (not implode) over the longer haul since it played well into a number of longer term themes - (SOCs, consumer electronics chips, high end networking etc etc)and was being managed with long term goals in mind. There have been and likely will be some major bumps in the road for both the company and the stock but I have my target and it is not in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 100's, 110's, 120's, 130's, 140's... You get the picture.
Long term start of an up-cycle we hope in the next 2 quarters.
