re: Man this Cisco is one hell of a hypocrite company. First they deny that Layer 3 switches were any different than routers., Then they claim that their Catalyst switches are really L3 switches, now they claim that their routers (8500) is really a L3 switch.. Yeah Stockman -- all in the span of 4-5 months... pretty fast moving market eh? By the way, a layer 3 switch essentially is a router - just hardware-based.
