Hi ChrisW: I'm fairly new at this also (only a few years). I have noticed that a large cross does seem to occur just before a run-up in most of the stocks I have looked at. You are right in saying it could be good, or bad. In light of the recent merger with Kinross on the railroad project, and the amount of money Kinross will spend ($10MM CDN), and the developing recovery of POG, I believe this to be a good sign. It could be someone wanted allot of shares, with ScotiaMac accumulating for them. It could also be shares for stock options, and/or warrants issued by MIQ. It could be for a PP. It could also be that somebody got tired of waiting, or had to unload. I'm speculating this is the first step in a promotion campaign.
I'm sure I left out a number of speculations about today's cross. Maybe one of our experienced forum members could expound on the cross... thanks, joe
