I'm not saying I'm sure, but I do have an admittedly fuzzy recollection of a report a few years back on H & K's lobbying efforts and political involvements. Two of the things the show focused on were ex-politicians' lobbying efforts for foreign countries and (although, again, I'm not certain, even though I think that I've remembered correctly) and H & K's representation of Libyan business interests. While I may well be wrong, I'm inclined to think that I'm not. (A friend in the business has the same recollection, but it's no more certain than mine.) Still, it's not worth researching because it has nothing to do with CCSI. The real point I'm making is that PR companies are for rent, just like attorneys, and if the mazuma is offered, the mouthpiece will follow. They're paid to promote, and that's what they do. I wouldn't ascribe any special discrimination to their choice of clients. It's basically "Show me the money." In any case, no one can dispute that H & K is a large, established firm and has the sophistication to do an effective PR job.
