Matt, upon occasion, I am a shorter. I post when I do, and I post why, when I do. I am not in ANY position in IAIC at the moment, FYI. Contrary to most who rail against shorters, it is not illegal, unethical, or unAmerican! Please read further...

The reason for my post is this:
I short based on technical indicators which indicate short-term overbot conditions. The reason is purely one of making money, like you do.

You see, not everyone buys and holds. Some buy to sell. Those short-term players playable dips (from overbot conditions) provide the leaven in the stock, i.e., keep it from going crazy on the upside when PUBLIC news and/or fundamental analysis doesn't warrant it. Another way to put it, is that shorters skim froth.

Also, I wouldn't give you a plugged nickel for a poster who doesn't talk their position! It is always best to plug in this human bias when reading or listening to ANY investor's commentary.

Good investing/trading to you.
