Very insigtful posting on USRX. I agree that a parrallel product line is a good thing for USRX. ADSL is a new technology and will require some shake-out before there is true connectivity available to all. Thus waiting to implement would be a good thing for USRX. Take for example ATM we are 3 years into the technology and standards/compatibility are still issues. Being first is not always being the best.

You are correct on your corporate analysis. We have alot USRX gear, modem pools and total control equip. We are not going to jump on the latest technical advance that comes out. Ours, like many is gaining connection density so that everyone has access. For the time being 28.8 is adequate, 57.6 would be nice but just having access is more important at this point. Thus if USRX can lower connection cost they will have a winner. Increased performance will come with time, and as coporate budgets allow. ADSL prices will come down overtime, as the volume increases and chip companies design specialized DSPs for the ADSL products.
