Sparky, digital video was the hot area to invest in 1996-97 when CUBE hit 70. Like the internet stocks are now, CUBE was overvalued then (but not to the same extreme as YHOO and AMZN), and came back down when investors realized that digital video reality (actual implementation) was taking longer than first anticipated. DVD has yet to really skyrocket, which I think many people were counting on to make CUBE a superstar. CUBE has many aspects, however, and as I have been saying for the past year, DiviCom was the best acquisition CUBE could have ever made, and is paying off nicely now. The company's true value is in the future, with major profits to be realized late this year and into 1999. CUBE has consistently shown the ability to be first to market with innovative technologies, but up till now the manufacturers have been slow to implement them into products consumers want to buy. Downside is what the second quarter may bring, upside is third Q 1998 and beyond. Good stock to buy and forget. I doubt we will see this stock really take off (40+) this year, but then again, I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.
