I'm an investor of MTWKF and a regular user of the CodeWarrior development tool.
I love their stuff, and I say that not merely because I'm an investor, I'm an investor because I love their tools.
But, I, too, honestly worry about development costs. The approach for developing them is countered by, as you put it, a sound strategy, but most tool developers spend as much in Sales and marketing as they do in development, so it all makes me worry.
But then I fall back onto the Buffett/Lynch idea of buying companies with good stategies, good management, and good products, and they really seem to fit the bill here. I'm long metrowerks!
