What US WEst is going to deploy is variable rate ADSL...as usual, the press got it messed up as VDSL, which is something different. No matter...RADSL will go up to 18 kilofeet from central office over copper wire. Only 50% of homes are fed by copper wire. If you have a Digital Loop CArrier, the RADSL modules go in the DLC cabinet, which connects to your house with copper wires. All bad news for Winstar
and their LMDS stuff (where they going to get the money anyway?). They keep getting people to give them more and more money, and keep increasing their losses year to year. Great record! LMDS=Limiteless
