DZOO...very perceptive of you. Yes, I was influenced by the proximity of NANX rise to AMAT's CMP announcement. And, as you said, there is no explicit connection between the two events, other than time frame. But, the move from .35 micron chips to .25, .18 and beyond is upon us, and polishing tolerances will be critical. So, just a logical leap of faith on my part. Whoever wanted "in" today, bought four times average volume, and the biggest volume day since right after the big drop. The fact that this has been building for the last four or five trading days makes me think that it wasn't just an analyst "recommend" either; besides, we haven't heard of any such recommends. Today's results imply that someone of considerable influence (e.g., institutional buyer?) is still tracking NANX very closely, and that the months of basing action may be over. Bill |
