Guckien Monday, Apr 20 1998 9:10AM ET HEALTHCARE TIDBITS: Just dropped off CK's healthcare report to hospital CEO and thought I'd have a little chat with the director of our radiology unit. He was aware of Y2K and embedded systems. CT and MRI scanners were not compliant and will be "fixed" per GE. Other equipment as well are not compliant-Fluoroscopy (SIEMENS) and ultrasound. He didn't realize infusion pumps and defibrillators need to be addressed and is calling the manufacturers this am. The anesthesia monitors we use in our OR are Marquette 7010's-listed to fail in CK's report.
