Cowles on nukes

'You have got to be kidding me.

I have before me an Excel spreadsheet that lists 32 systems at *one* nuke
plant (provided to me by the plant Y2k program manager) that have been
identified as having Y2k problems. Of those, 13 are nuclear safety
related.

This is an older plant with supposedly very little digital control
involvement. And this is just the plant control stuff they've found to
this point, not security stuff, rad pro, CBT, or chemistry control (which
is another subject *all together*).

Maybe I've bitten on a troll here, I dunno.

BTW, which client do you deal with? I don't want to be anywhere near that
state. And tell your client to take a look at www.euy2k.com/nuke2.htm for
more details on NRC involvement. Is the CNO of your client ready to
affirm, under oath and affirmation, that the plant is Y2k ready? If not,
they should be prepared to be shutdown for quite awhile.
