Louis, I had the same problem finding the Orbit/FR listing in Barron's. It's near the top of the O's, as if ORBIT were initials (similar to NCR) - probably a mistake that was never corrected.
I don't know if ORFR will pull back to $9 or not. It would not be surprising if it did; on the other hand you could make a case for support at $11 or so, and if the current move takes it back above $16 - possible support there too. Today's closing "asked" price was $14, so ORFR could have easily closed at that price with one more "market buy". ORFR has varied so widely in price over its short trading history, one could make a case for almost any short term trend. But I feel in the longer term, people will look back at the current price levels as a great buying opportunity.
I agree with your belief that the satellite business will be big in the upcoming years. With all the telecom related satellite projects scheduled (Globalstar, Iridium, Teledesic, et al) the next few years should be one of the greatest periods of satellite related growth ever. In addition to ORFR, I am playing the satellite theme with VSAT and also looking for a good entry point with LOR. There's going to be a lot of money to be made in the satellite business - the question is, who will be making it? Hopefully ORFR will be among the players benefiting from this growth. |
