Shane,

Almost every advanced ASIC uses a processor core. LSI has probably spent alot of time working with MIPS technology. I'm just wondering what kind of effort would be involved should LSI decide/be forced to use an alternative core. I hope they have one in place. IBM insisted on an alternative CPU vendor when they designed the IBM PC and in my opinion, LSI should also. You never know what may happen. This is crucial to LSI's long term success for which I am hoping for very much.
